How to Daisy-Chain multiple case fans?

Guys,

In my new rig, I have 17 fans D) and 2 fan controllers to control 8 of them. There are 9 fans that do NOT plug into any controller and I don't think there are 9 3-pin slots on the motherboard (Asus P6T7 WS).

Is there a way I can connect the fans to each other and then plug them into one power source (4-pin molex)?

How should I power these 9 fans? I am also not sure if I have enough 4-pin molex connectors on my PSU for all 9 fans to be connected separately.

Are you overcompensating for something?

To daisy-chain fans, all you need to do is to make sure 12v always goes to 12v and ground always goes to ground. Ground is always black. 12v on a power supply is the yellow wire, but most fans use a red wire. Just don't confuse it with the red wires on a PSU, which is 5v. Won't damage anything, but your fans will spin awfully slow if at all.

You can wire your fans together yourself (strip wires, solder together and shrink wrap) or buy splitters of one kind or another kind depending on what you need to plug it in to.

Alternately buy a specialized fan bus to hook up a bunch at a time.

Wait, so to daisy-chain fans, I just connect the 12V connector (4-pin molex) from the PSU to... what? My point is, There aren't enough 3-pin connectors on the motherboard and I've already used up both my fan controllers to control/power 8 fans. The other 9 fans don't have a power source. There might be 1 or 2 4-pin molex connectors on the PSU left, but how do I connect all 9 of them? I will look at that Sunbeam multi-fan connector but I was hoping I could do without yet another device (?).

As I said, either buy the adapter cables or the Sunbeam device. Alternately do your own soldering work. No matter which way you do it, it will take some (or more) of your time, potentially some tools and some supplies.

Look at my second link. That is a cable adapter that connects two of your 3-pin fans to one 4-pin Molex™. It is a pass-through 4-pin, so you can daisy-chain them. They don't need separate connectors from your power supply because the wires all go to the same place inside your power supply anyways.
