either cut it using a jigsaw and pouring water by the blade... or spray wd-40 or something like that (just to keep the blade from getting to hot and having the plexi fuse back together after you just cut it) Or if you have a dremel avaiable, put one of the lightduty cutting wheels on it and go to town... the dremal takes the longest but you have the most control with and and it's a lot easier to do corners.

is there a special blade to use on the jigsaw?
or is there different types/grades of the plexiglass?

i bought it from lowes...tried to cut it and it instantly got this weird shredded/stringy/chippy texture to it
i have a dremel, but its one of the little cordless ones that doesn't have the full power

i'll try the water thing...if i can figure out how to pour water and cut at the same time

What shape is the window going to be? If it is square or rectangular, there is a scoring tool (cheap, too) you can use to score the plexiglass and then break it like they do with glass.

its an odd shape

i seen how they cut it at lowes, score and break - if only that would work with rounded and intricate designs

that battery dremel will work fine, You'll probably have to take a couple of battery breaks though. YOu don't want to run the dremel at full anyway otherwise it will melt the plexi, run it at it's lowest.

I don't think that there are different grades of plexi, thicknesses and types (plexiglass, acrylic (much clearer than plexi but easier scratched)....ect.)

Have someone help you when cutting the plexi. You cut they pour.

I know they sell plastic cutting blades for Jigsaw's..there has to be something that will work with plexiglass...goto your local hardware store and ask them.....home depot or osh..something like that.

Good luck and tell us how it turns out.
