Step 1: Buy a server that runs on a Intel xenon prossessor.

step 2: Go to the Microsoft website and buy windows 10 pro for your server.

Step 3: Windows 10 Pro OS, removing the server operating system.

Step 4( optional): Add in a graphics card.

there you go, you got a gaming desktop more powerful than the ones they sell in stores, with a very powerful CPU.

Step 1. Go to gateway.com
Step 2. Select Desktops
Step 3. Select a unit
Step 4. Check-out
Now that's how it's really done. Dell. pffft.

I don't know about Xenon cooling, but I did build a midrange gaming PC using an Intel Xeon E3-1231V3 for a friend a while back. Basically an i7 that was less expensive than an i7 when I purchased it, and compatible with a normal LGA 1150 motherboard. If I were building a system right now, though, I'd probably go for a Skylake i5 or i7.

Wrong forum. PC gaming is over there. I would have gotten a PM from esquared with a nice shiny infraction attached too it, had I posted this. I reported your thread, if you don't get infracted then we have verifiable proof that I get treated differently (read: punished more often and severely) than other posters here.

If you have an issue with moderation, the only place to post about it is Moderator Discussions. What you posted here is a mod callout and definitely deserves and gets an infraction.

Why on earth would you do this? Everything for servers is more expensive literally everything, RAM, Hard Drive, CPU, Power Supplies they are all substantially more money. What possible benefit would you get other than a longer run time? May as well buy a workstation but even that is insane for a gaming PC.

Not all Xeons are created equal, either. Some of them have lots of cores, but really low clocks, so your Minecraft will run like...oh, hey, this isn't OT, so I shouldn't swear here. ():)

The quick, simple, cheap way to get a gaming system:

1. Pick an i3 system. Of recent vintage.
2. Add a GTX 750ti.

Or [thread=2389797]you can build your own gaming system from parts[/thread]. ;)
