How to create dead pixels?

I was thinking about newegg's dead pixel policy ( replace only for 8 or more) and was wondering what the best way to make dead pixels would be. Maybe along the lines of poking them with a needle or something?

I'm not trying to cheat newegg or anything, so dont flame me about that

That theory doesn't work for laptops. Stores like Best Buy and CompUSA will not allow you to open the laptop box until after you've paid for it. CompUSA claimed that I could exchange it for ANYTHING, even one pixel. I didn't test that out since I didn't have any dead pixels. Best Buy refuses to exchange for anything less than a certain number (I think 6) dead pixels. So, in those stores, you cannot look before buying.

OK, you may find this hard to believe, but actually if you hold a gun pointed TOWARDS you and pull the trigger while seated in front of your monitor, the sudden rearward shock wave generated will cause dead pixels to appear in your LCD. Try it!
