How to create an NT partition?

I installed NT Workstation 4.0 on a computer and tried to partition 1 gig of the 1 gig HD but NT said that was too much for it, so I partitioned 200 megs to install NT on. I could do that, but it would not let me partition any more of the 800 megs so now I have 800 megs of useless space. Is there any way to partition the rest without formatting?

I remember there being some problem with that. Try to download the later install disks for NT, they are somewhere on Microsofts site or at www.bootdisk.com

The newer disks included the fix for the 1GB problem.

Considering I download the fix for this problem, what steps do I take to create the new partition? Sorry I work mainly with 98, NT is new to me.
