Whenever I do it the traditional way..copy + paste..it gives me an error message that a file is in use.

probably because your windows folder is in use at all times, try copying everything but the windows folder

Hmm, what I'm trying to do is replace my C: Drive with this other drive, which means it'd have to be bootable too..

I've used partition magic but an error message always comes up whenever I do that..

Anyone know of a utility that will easily clone two NTFS drives?

If you want to copy a whole drive use ghost or drive image 2002 to make an image of the drive.

you can also use whatever utility your HD manufacturer provides for free on their website to copy a drive. (eg: Maxtor - Maxblast 3)

Norton Ghost will do exactly what you want, and you don't have to be very creative to "acquire" it.
