i thought about a Microwave Bacon Tray .

"has a ribbed surface to allow fat to drain away while cooking meats"

but raw food doesnt cook evenly in my microwave.

is there an equivalent for baking in the oven?

Broil it.

If you use the pan normally supplied with the oven (oddly enough, a broiling pan) it drains the grease away.

Microwave is also good.

Good Luck

I place a wire cooling rack on a cookie sheet, place the bacon on the rack, then cook it in the oven; works like a charm.

does it matter? as it cooks it sorta dries itself out anyways, even if its in its fat it doesn't really reabsorb it.

Bacon is good BECAUSE it cooks in it's own fat. Once you take that away, all you have is some dried nasty meat.

True. Bacon has a drastically different taste and reduced flavor if you don't fry it. Microwaving in a plate is the closest to frying.

Baking in the over on a broiler pan....you basically have fried pork strips left....a lot of the flavor leaves with the grease.

I disagree. As long as you are buying decent, thick bacon, the cookie sheet method works brilliantly and gives you evenly cooked, not overly greasy strips of deliciousness.

Amazon? For a couple of dollar cookie sheet and cooling rack? Afraid of actually venturing out into the real world, going down to someplace like a grocery store or even a discount store and buying them?

Sheesh......what the heck is happening to the world? If you cannot buy it online, it doesn't exist? Forget about being able to buy it right now and use it, or maybe even being cheaper than having it shipped......why is it always online first? Damn....just go outside to a real store and buy them....set you back a few dollars and you get to use them today.

The cooling rack in a cookie sheet in the oven method works pretty well. The bacon I'm about to cook will be fried in its own grease, though.

Mmmmmm..... bacon....

I use my convection oven and a cookie sheet, comes out great although it
still cooks in it's own fat. The convection ovens rock!!

So, most nights before I go to bed, I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman grill. Then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill. I go back to sleep again. Then I wake up to the smell of crackling bacon. It is delicious, it's good for me, it's the perfect way to start the day.

We actually layer it in the microwave

Paper towel, layer of bacon, more paper towel. another layer of bacon, more paper towel.

Go for a few minutes at a time and then if a few pieces get done faster than the other, rotate them or just take those off and then cook the rest some more.

We do this...paper towel on top and bottom, bacon in between, overnuke.

We like our bacon dry and crispy.

Yea, until the time he stepped on the grill and burned his foot! Haha. What a great story that was. You must have missed it.
