How to connect my computer to my TV - wireless ?

Hi

I am looking for a way to connect my computer to my TV set, bireless, so that I can watch movies from hulu and alike on my TV set, but I would like to do this wireless instead of running cables all over my apartment.

My home theater / Bluray player has a USB input jack as well as DVI and will accept signal from either, and then I can connect that to my Screen with ease.

What I am specifically looking for is something wireless that will let me transmit from my PC in one room to that system wireless and then play it all back on my TV system.

How do I do that ? what kind of video card and / or adapters or hubs or other things would I need ?

There are wireless HDMI adapters, but they're super expensive, and have short range.

Best bet: Put together a cheap computer to use in the living room. It'll be way simpler, and you can put a wireless card in it.
 
Another possibility would be to use a set of video over Cat5e/6 converters- not cheap, and you would still need a solution for audio, but a flat Cat5e cable + 3.5mm audio cable is easier to string along the wall than a thick video cable.

If you must have wireless, here are a few options:

No first-hand experience with them, or any wireless video converter. As the other posters mentioned, it is probably easier (and probably a better value) to go with a dedicated HTPC or extender.
 
or buy a xbox360 and wireless adapter. You can stream videos on your harddrive as well as use a program called PlayOn to steam from Hulu.

Probably the most expensive solution, but if you were thinking about getting a gaming console this would work out beautifully.

Or a Ps3 as well. But as chrob previously stated, using an xbox works like magic. You can also stream videos from netflix.
