Hi,

From my case there is a 3 or 4 pin speaker connection (along with the power sw, power led, etc)...on my mobo diagram, it says the speaker is some circular thing on the board. what am i supposed to do with the speaker cable?

thanks!

Plug it into the speaker connection. It may (or may not) disable any on-board speaker. However, if using a nForce2 mobo with on-board sound, it outputs the case speaker via the on-board sound anyway.

Don't know, sorry. But I've never seen an on-board speaker that was worth a damn.

I run some old school apps that output beeps, like to confirm entry into a field.

you dont have to have it. the motherboard has it's own little speaker for beeping. the mobo header just connects to a bare driver that's usually on the case. some cases dont have them. what you do get is a LOUDER beep with the speaker attached ;-)
