how to color devices??

how do you color peripherals>? i want to case mod and maybe get the lianli but i dont think i can hang with the device coloring!! seems to hard and i think that i'll f*ck it up!! any pointers?

I'm thinking the May or June issue of Maximum PC had an article on colouring pc cases.
