Hi,

I just got a new AMD Thunderbird 1.2Ghz, but unfortunately it came with a price sticker attached to the top. I removed it, but it left residual sticky crap. What's the best way to clean the stuff off?

Oh, and when putting on the heatsink, I'm supposed to leave the four rubber thingees on, right?

YES

leave the pads on. unless your using a shim that doesn't have holes for those pads.

to remove the residue use rubbing alcohol.

Alcohol doesn't usually do the trick w/ sticker glue.. Believe it or not (was surprised when my fiance told me something about using it) using lighter fluid works best it seems. Put it on a cuetip and rub it on the affected area.. it should come right up. Wipe it down and you're good to go.
