How to check memory and core speed?

I just got a ATI 8500, how do I check for memory requency?
and how I benchmark the card?

Powerstrip will give you the memory and core speed. Use 3dmark 2001 to benchmark and then compare to other cards.

benchmark=play games, or run like 3dmark2000/2001

Thanks guys, I got 274/274 .It's a refurbished ATI 8500 from egghead. Does that mean I got a retail version?

I even overclock it to 280/281 with no problems, have not tried higher yet. WoooWoooWoooW😀

Yes, sounds like you got a retail version. I believe OEM would have a 250/250 clock.
