how to change username in "documents and settings" in XP

i know how to change the user name through 'control panel', but it still has the old name in the 'documents and settings" directory. i try to manually change the name and it says that it's a windows system folder and is required for windows to run correctly. it cannot be renamed or deleted.

is there a tool out there i can use to change this?

If you are selling it, you should completely format the drive.

Or just create a new user and delete your old one.

I'm actually selling to a family member and I've pretty much cleaned out everything i needed to.
