How to change this in Windows 2000

I want to make the text underneath My Computer, Recycle Bin, etc not have the colored box around it. Just want to be able to see the text with the desktop in the background.

Try TransIcon from here, same guy who does HijackThis.

Not as far as I know of, or else Merijn probably wouldn't be writing custom utilities to make it possible 😉

make a reg file with this, then run it.. it'll enable renaming.
