How to change the WinXP logout dialog?

I just installed a rather rude application that somehow changed the login and logout methods for me on my Win XP Pro system. I used to have the WinXP standard big colorful icons at login (but actually I was set to auto login) and at logout, had the XP-style dialog with the assorted buttons to reboot, or shutdown.

After installing the unfriendly app (Cisco VPN), it changed my settings somehow so that now I have what are essentially the old NT-style login and logout prompts. So now, I have to login in every time and the old-style login prompt, and pick reboot/shutdown from a dropdown menu every time.

Does anyone know how I can change my login and logout dialogs back to the normal XP style ones? I suppose it's possible that uninstalling the crappy Cisco app might reset things, but I need the app and can't uninstall it right now.

One warning, sounds like the Cisco product may be replacing the login handler (GINA) with their own. Reenabling the alternate GINA (the fast logon one) may wind up breaking the Cisco app, you'll have to experiment and see if it works. Another option is that the Cisco app installed their own gina and is then chaining to the original msgina, in that case those settings won't matter as it's the Cisco app loading the current logon handler. In that case I think your stuck until Cisco updates the app 🙁

Yep, that's exactly what I was looking for, and it turns out you were correct that the Cisco app installed its own GINA, so I'm stuck with either uninstalling the app or living with things as they are. Blah.
