how to change teams for F@H?

So i dont know why i was put to team 93... but i want to change it so i can joins anandtechs... but every time i put team 198 and check my stats... they arent updated... they still show that i am a part of team 93? anyone know how to change the team number correctly?

Which F@H client are you running?

If the CLI, then try starting the client via a shortcut with the (-config) flag & set the team number to 198.

Not sure how to set the team with the GUI version.

I'm sure GLeeM or some one will be along soon with better instructions.

This may help in the mean time

When you change teams, it won't erase your progress with your old team. You will just begin to get your new progress assigned to team 198. (ie: you'll be both places)

lol glad to be a folder... well... another question...
I changed the team number to 198. But when i click on my info it loads up my stats and it still has the previous team's number there? 😕 I was wondering if there is anything to confirm that I have changed teams successfully?

Welcome to the TeAm, teatime0315 🙂

If you are running an old version client, I recommend getting a new version and making a new install.

You have to finish a WU and send in results and wait a few hours before your stats will be updated. Your work done for team 93 stays with them. The new work will show with the TeAm.

You can look at the file called fahlog.txt in the directory where you have folding@home installed. scroll up to where the client started and you should find the usernamd and team number it is working under there. It'll look something this:

I guess I just have to wait until I complete a whole WU before my stats change
Another question.. Is a frame per 16 seconds okay for an AMD 3800 x2 at stock speeds?

16 minutes sounds right if you are folding one of the 149x series WUs.

I get ~14 minutes on an X2 @ 2.5GHz and ~10.5 minutes on an opteron @ 2.7GHz

edit: er.... I meant 'minutes' (don't we wish it was seconds 😀 )

Haha ... I thought it was seconds. My bad.
Well i figured out the problem. I used an SN that was already used 🙁 . Now that I've Changed my SN it shows that I am under team 198 🙂
Such a stupid mistake haha.. Well thanks for everybody's help
I am now OFFICIALLY folding for team anandtech 🙂
