My sister has an old Compaq Presario 5050 Desktop here are the system specs. We loaded Windows XP pro at the same time.
I sold her my old ATI AIW 128 PCI card and installed it in the available PCI slot. Now, we all know that for the ATI AIW 128 PCI card multimedia functions to work, it has to be set as primary in the Bios. For the life of me, I can't find where in the bios utility how to switch from AGP to PCI for primary Vid card. Can someone help us out here please?
We want to set up the ATI AIW 128 PCI card as primary and we have an old monito connected to the existing ATI 3D Rage LT Pro AGP card to be able to multimonitor.
As it is now......Win XP pro is recognizing the ATI AIW 128 PCI card and is completely ignoring the existence of the ATI 3D Rage LT Pro AGP card. I figure once I set the Biuos to recognize the ATI AIW 128 PCI card as primary then Win XP pro will see the other card and everything should fall into place.
TIA
Mark.
