How to change P-state on a Phenom II

Does anyone know of an available tool or other method of changing the P-state of a Phenom II in Windows XP?

I have an AM3 Phenom II in an MSI K9A2 Platinum, and I'd like to know if this is possible.

wouldn't enabling cool n quiet be the best for different work loads?

In my motherboard's BIOS, there's an option for custom P-states.

You have a 790GX w/ a SB750 I'm assuming, since I've been following your thread about unlocking your 720BE

I have an MSI K9A2 Plat., and I don't think there's such a feature in the BIOS. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Cool 'n Quiet will not work for my particular need. I need to change the P-state because P0 as recognized by my BIOS is not the correct P-state.

Meh, in this article they imply that MSI K9A2 Platinum does not support custom P-state control.

FG, I have been slightly disappointed that the K9A2 doesn't have slightly more flexible overclocking control. One of the reasons it doesn't work is that I can only overvolt the core by ~0.2 volts over the default in the P-state, which puts me at a max of 1.2 from what the BIOS recognizes.

Thanks for the link, richierich. The tool works, but I actually found that the AMD Overdrive tool will suit my needs well enough until an updated BIOS comes out for the AM3 PHII's.
