i have this problem.
sometimes i have to change the extension of a file.
eg. myfile.asp to myfile.txt

so the common way is rename myfile.asp to myfile.txt.
but sometimes it just change the name, but the extension is still the same.
is there anywat to change the extension.?

In Win2K (Sorry, I don't have XP, so can't explain how to do it there if it's different), doubleclick My Computer, select Tools, then select Folder Options. Click on the View tab, then uncheck the box marked "Hide file extensions for known file types". Now you'll see every file's extension as part of the filename. When you rename the file, it will now behave as you would expect.
