How to cap a computers upload

My friends brother is downloading all kinds of crap with all types of p2p. Its killing gaming and the like. Whats a good way to cap the uploads.

block the ports the p2p uses, otherwise most p2p programs have build in a up/dl setting.

Go to options in the p2p program. You can set bandwidth usage in them. DUH!

After reading all the posts, WHY DIDN'T YOU EXPLAIN THAT you are on two different PCs, sharing the same DSL/cable/whatever?

I have no solution as no one else wil leither unless you start saying what routers you have, wireless set up, DSL/CABLE/??? etc.

Get a clark connect server and set everything to stati9c IP's

Then you can limit ul/dl by IP ;)
