How to best get a mailing to my new residence

I'm having a title printed for a vehicle I own (Florida has electronic titling now, so unless you specifically request it you do not recieve a paper title once all liens are cleared.)

Thing is, I have moved to Los Angeles as of very early december. A few days prior to moving, I filled out the online USPS form for change of address.

This printed title will be mailed to my address on record as far as the title/registration info is concerned, which is my old address in Florida.

My question is, will this mail come to me in Los Angeles because of my address change paperwork from a little over a month ago, or should I see about having a mail forward done?

Since you filled out the online change of address form, you should automatically have your mail forwarded for 3?6?12? or however many months.

Thank you, that's what I thought but wondered if the forwarding ran out after 30 days or something like that.

I thought they only forward mail up to a year.

It only forward for the first year, for second year post office notifies the sender of your new address but will not forward. It worked like that 2 years ago when i did it, so unless something changed it's probably still works the same.

You should check to see if they mail them marked "Do not forward" which is sometimes the case.

Mine still got forwarded..so not sure if it matters.

My license plates from the DMV were not when I moved. There is a chance it might not get forwarded.
