How to avoid charges from Paypal?

I need to send someone some money and do not want that person to have to pay any fees. I currenlty have it attached to a bank account and can add money in that manner. As I remember, if the money is sent in this manny, not froma credit card, then the person receiving doesn't have to pay anything, is this true still?

Or is there another quick way and not having to spend any "adminstrative fees"?

It is $400 bucks, if it matters...

What kind of account does the other person have?

Depending on the kind, they might have to accept with the charges no matter what. IIRC, transfers from a bank account shouldn't have a fee attached to them for the personal accounts.

Good attempt at being an ass but Paypal is not an easy company to contact. Just like ebay and Amazon. Their numbers are (or at least were) hidden and even if you got the number, they are not known to be especially helpful.

Amazon's customer service is a google search away and I have contacted them on 3-4 occasions with NO problems. They even helped me with a rebate (cell phone rebate through Amazon) that I was unable to file on time because of Cingular's stupidity.

1) go to www.paypal.com
2) click on contact us
3) click on "call our customer service center"

If your friend, the recipient of the money, has a premiere account, they will get charged a fee no matter what type of transaction is done. Bank funds, CC, etc all will incur a small % fee unfortunately.

nope. if the receiver has a premier account, (necessary to receive payment by credit cards) they he/she is gonna get charged no matter what method you use...
Paypal is just another E-Bay company, and I'm sure they have found the loopholes around the fees, and fixed them...it's ALL about making money for them...(as with most businesses)
