How to adjust parameters of battery in Windows XP

Just wondering, since I could do this on my sony, if I can adjust it so my battery parameters on my sony, if I can make it so my battery will not charge over 85% to save battery life. I have an hp laptop. Thanks

You need to use HP's power management software which when coupled with their driver should give you that control. Check their support and download pages for your system.
