how to add workgroup location for shared folder winxp

I want to share forlder on my lan network but don't want all computers to have acces to this folder. All pcs have windows xp pro. I turned off simple sharing. I go to permissions cilked add but there is only my local pc and i don't see workgroups. How I can activate it?

you can't....Workgroups are nothing more then advertising in Samba, and is pretty broken.

If you want specific accounts from specific machines to have specific access, you need a Domain..

You could add the username/passwords from those machines to your local machine, and then anyone passing that "username" would have that access...

ie. user1 has RO access...so if someone remotely accesses your share with username "user1" they have RO access.
