How to Add Physics

Also since no one else has pointed it out, we know you meant PhysX because there is a big difference between game physics in general and PhysX.

@lavaheadache would still need a new card to though ?

Guessing you are asking if you'd still need a second card to run PhysX?

Answer is no. Most cards from the GTX 260 up through today's can handle the PhysX load without impacting gaming FPS significantly. Forget where I saw benchmarks but shouldn't be too hard to find.

what? are you saying a gtx260 can sufficiently run higher settings and full hardware physx? sorry but that is simply not true.

gonna try it hope it works with pci

pci? what exactly are you saying? are you wanting to run hardware physx with an Nvidia card in the pci slot? there is no pci slot card that can handle physx.

You really aren't missing a whole lot. Batman uses Physx and while some of it is impressive, it's the only game where I've actually felt compelled to seek a way to use physx.

man Nvidia really needs to allow AMD to use physx without too much of a royalty. very few games gave it now its pathetic.

I mean if you were thinking of getting like a GTX 670 or something I'd tell you "yeah physx is pretty cool when it's used". I won't tell someone to buy an Nvidia card just for it.

I got better results using a single 580 than I did with a 5870 and a 9800 for Physx. That was at 1920 by 1200.
