How to add "Network Address" attribute to properties for wifi adapter

Hi everyone,

For my wifi adapter, under control panel -> device manager -> wifi adapter -> properties - > advanced tab I don't have the network address attribute that my ethernet adapter has.

I can still change the network address for the wifi adapter, but I have to go through the registry which of course is much more of a pain.

So, my question is can I change the registry in such a way that I add the network address attribute to the wifi adapter advanced properties and then have the ability to change that address the easy way under control panel?

If so, how?

Are you talking about an IP address? What's wrong with the one your router gives it? I would never go into the registry to change an IP address.

MAC address, not IP address.

MAC address is like serial#, why do you want to change it and what's the purpose?

in most casees, you only change MAC address to match your old cable/DSL modem if you purchase a new one and you don't bother calling your ISP for activation.

That's not listed in the menu either.

Then learn it on another (easier) device. Seriously, I don't think it's worth struggling with an odd-ball on a technique you will hopefully never have to use.
