How to add a DOS partition to the boot menu?

I presently have a dual-boot Win2k/98se system. I'd like to add a DOS partition to the boot menu to simplify using Norton Ghost (the coolest app!!!) Right now every time I use Ghost I have to boot with a Win98 boot floppy, which is a slow, tedious process. I want to have a small partition with the Win98 boot floppy files on the hard disk and have that partition available from the standard Win2k boot loader menu. Is this possible? How do I do it?

Maybe I wasn't clear. I know how to setup a partition for the files. What I'm not clear on is how to get the boot loader menu to 'see' the new partition and make it available as one of the choices upon startup.

Can't you just make a boot floppy that works faster? With just command.com on it?

IamDavid,

I'm very interested in this article, but the link doesn't seem to work. Could you try again? Thanks!

You can also copy the ghost program from the floppy to a subdirectory on your W98 hard drive. Then just boot to DOS and run ghost from the hard drive. It works.

Keep your ghost disk handy, tho. In case of a catastrophic failure of your boot drive you'll need it to do a restore.
