The UE numbers are back adjusted all the time since the number in a given month is an estimate. There are 2 sources for these estimates and it's been that way since at least the Clinton admin.

Neither you or I knows what evidence was available on the day of those attacks. I do know, no matter what evidence I had I wouldn't have announced it that day. It would take a least a few days if not weeks to confirm anything you had.

Susan Rice did not get on the news annoucing a reason for the attacks knowing she had zero evidence. Her mistake was using the video and not leaving herself an out.

Unlike within a few days of the real 9/11 the Bush admin making plans to go after Sadam and we know how that turned out.

So what are you suggesting here? What should the media have done, given the only information they had at that moment was the official statements? Just make something up and report idle speculation as fact? Maybe that's OK for Fox, but not for reputable journalists.

False. You've absorbed the RNC propaganda and accepted it as fact. CBS did NOT create the document. They received it from a former Guard member who was in a position to have the information he provided. Further, they corroborated the content of the document with the secretary of the officer who allegedly wrote the report. While she did not have an original copy to compare, she agreed it matched her memory of the events at that time. CBS therefore ran with the story.

Yes, it turned out CBS was likely duped. The document they received was almost certainly printed from a modern word processor, not from the typewriters commonly used by the Guard in those days. It was never determined, however, whether the content of the document sent to CBS was copied from an original, or whether it was a fabrication. Either way, it was generally accurate according to the secretary. That fact got lost in the RNC-fueled furor around the document's format.

CBS Created the Story. That is a better way of putting it. Maybe not the document but they took the seed planted it. They gave it water. And put it out in the sun and gave it miracle grow...

This is hardly paranoid. This happens all the time.

First example, the Obama trip to India that was going to have our entire navy as an escort and cost something like 300 billion dollars. It was just a rumor from an unconfirmed source, but it was all over right wing media and when proven completely false and even absurd they didn't really back track it.

Just 2 weeks ago, Fox New ran with a Brienbart story that was trying to state that the US was going to give up the people involved in the Anti-Islam film to the Egyptian government to be killed.

This happens over and over, they say something unproven, then all the other right wing sites and shows run with it and then people take it as fact even without having any source because "Its all over the internet" or "All these sites say its happening."

You can always tell its completely successful when the extreme right wingers all use the same rhetoric when talking about Obama or the White House.
