<< i talked to my physics teacher and he talked to me about the radiation belt >>

how did this guy get a job teaching????

Kaysing's exact words in the program are ``Any human being traveling through the van Allen belt would have been rendered either extremely ill or actually killed by the radiation within a short time thereof.''

This is complete and utter nonsense. The van Allen belts are regions above the Earth's surface where the Earth's magnetic field has trapped particles of the solar wind. An unprotected man would indeed get a lethal dose of radiation, if he stayed there long enough. Actually, the spaceship traveled through the belts pretty quickly, getting past them in an hour or so. There simply wasn't enough time to get a lethal dose, and, as a matter of fact, the metal hull of the spaceship did indeed block most of the radiation. For a detailed explanation of all this, my fellow Mad Scientist William Wheaton has a page with the technical data about the doses received by the astronauts. Another excellent page about this, that also gives a history of NASA radiation testing, is from the Biomedical Results of Apollo site. An interesting read!

It was also disingenuous of the program to quote the Russian cosmonaut as well. Of course they were worried about radiation before men had gone into the van Allen belts! But tests done by NASA showed that it was possible to not only survive such a passage, but to not even get harmed much by it. It looks to me like another case of convenient editing by the producers of the program.

I heard that they put a mirror on the surface so that astronomers could point a lazer at that exact spot and get a reflection back.

😉 Hey if Carl Everett of the Texas Rangers says it was a hoax landing and that dinosaurs never walked the Earth ( they were made up too) I believe him. He is a major leaguer. 😉

<< here in america, we have freedom of speech. meaning if i thought that george w. bush was a homosexual i could tell whomever i want with no consequence. >>

That's a completely different can of worms. You do have freedom of speech up to the point that it infringes on the rights of another. Other than roughly 50% of the voting population going after you (the Dems would probably support you!), the consequences would be lawsuits for slander and defamation of character. Unless you had proof (and even if you did), you'd have to have a mighty big bank account and some free time on your hands so that you could make court appearances during the next several years of your life. You would likely be on the receiving end of further harassment, death threats, etc., and probably end up in jail after it was all over with.

If you're only concerned with the legality of accusing the government of conspiring to deceive the American public, consider the following:
The US Government has deceived the public in the past (Vietnam death toll "massaging" comes to mind).
The US Government has probably done it other times and continues to do it today.
Further, consider the Constitution and particularly the First Amendment which gives you the right to be free of prosecution for writings and speech.

It's perfectly legal, and I'm pretty thankful that it is.

Saftey - you are a moron for one of 2 reasons.

1. You believe that we didn't land on the moon. If you do believe it, then you are excused, but #2 still applies

2. There is this thing called the Bill of Rights. It lists the first ten amendments to the Constitution of the USA. Amendment I reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. " Two key points: Freedom of speech. Freedom of the Press. As long as they are reporting a "theory", they can pretty much say what they want...

Welcome to America...

<<

<< nope,
i just didnt think something blatenly conspiracy accusing against the usa wasnt tolerated
>>

are you an american citizen? did you recently immigrate here?
>>

This isn't Iraq or China. Come on now. Have you seen the pics of george bush's face put on photos of babes? Watch any of the stand up comedian shows at night and they cut apart anything they want.

Sorry, Stupid ain't illegal! I tend to think that if a cover up of this magnitude was successful for over thirty years, then that would be a bigger accomplishment that actually landing on the moon! I read the "author's" rebuttal to the Michael Medved piece...what a bunch of crap. This guy probably wonders where the wings went on the plane that hit the Pentagon too! Having seen the Apollo 17 and three shuttle launches, plus seeing lots of hardware up close, and meeting and talking with Jim Lovell, Dick Gordon, and Alan Bean (all two plus missions on Gemini and Apollo) I tend to believe the facts as they have been presented to the American public by the feds. Besides, I'd be pretty pissed if the thousands of dollars I've spent over the years accumulating books on the space program had pictures worthy of publication in the National Enquirer! "Gosh, it's on the internet, it must be true". Send this clown an e-mail telling him to f*ck himself....😀

i don't know what is more disturbing:

1. the fact that this nutjob is a teacher
2. the fact that saftey is unaware of our bill of rights (i'm assuming he lives in the USA)
3. the beautiful run-on sentence we all just got to witness

i say hoax, becasue i saw the tv show

anyone who thinks the moon landing is a hoax is too stupid to go to school, and definatly too stupid too teach.

IVE read that and i still dont believe what the author types

i dont think we went to the moon, either. i mean, where is all the green cheese they should have brought back with them?

<< Well, gee, if it's on a for-profit website, it MUST be true. Please, if they had pulled this off, it would be the greatest cover-up in the history of the world; absolute silence for 30+ years. Well, except maybe for JFK.

The JFK secret was let out in Red Dwarf.

<< jesus im questioning hows it legal of course i dont believe it and heres this guy taking it at serious asking me if im looking for trouble, what if i am what are you gonna do about it hubris? >>

lmao. My, miscontrue much? When I said "trouble", I meant with the evidence of the moon landing. So just ease off the trigger there, cowboy. I've got better things to do with my time than pontificate and threaten people on the internet.

Did my 6 month old nephew teach you how to type? Get an education! It'll help you read the instructions on how to flip burgers. 😛
