it was largely overblown alarmist rhetoric. I recall the Y2K KOOKS buying up all kinds of generators,building bomb shelters in the back yard buying pallets of survival food etc. Under the worst possible scenario the sun would still rise and set and life would go on. And now the same alarmist KOOKS are in a cold sweat about 2012.
