HOW THE HELL DO I REMOVE THE 40.41 detenator drivers.. they keep comming back

At Guru3D they have a program that can get rid of nVidia drivers, I think it's called Detonator Destroyer. OK hope that helps.

the detenator destroyer doesnt work .. im using XP

You tried going to add/remove icon in Control Panel,remove all Nvidia software then after go to Nvidia folder in Windows Explorer,delete it and its contents & reboot.

Update: I`ve just gone back from 40.41 drivers to 30.82 and just had to remove the Nvidia driver software from add/remove icon in XP and reboot,if this fails you could try removing them in safe mode.

I've removed them the same way just fine. They were a bit too buggy for me.

ummm...you remove them the same way you've been removing the dets since the beginning of time
