I'm starting the Bowflex program tomorrow, and it says that i should start drinking 4l of water daily, and eventually work my way up even higher. That's insane! I drink more pure water than anyone i know, and it only amounts to 750ml daily. Damn, i don't know if i can do this. That's eight standard bottles.

i never realized it, but i was drinking a gallon of gatorade a day, not to mention all the pop that was in between and after. I've now switched to drinking water and i fill up two liter bottles at least twice and drink a pint of milk a day.

Actually, i drink about two bottles a day, so that's 1l. The thing is, they don't want me to drink 4l of fluids a day. They want me to drink 4l of water alone, plus 5 glasses of other drinks a day with my meals.

yeah after intense exercise, thats when you drink a ton. I remember after wrestling practice I used to down 3/4 gallon in like 10 minutes, and then sip water for the next hour.

Drinking 4 liters of water is pretty tough. 4 liters of beer on the other hand, hell, that's not even enough for a decent game of quarters.

I have a quart thing of water on my desk all day long and usually go through 2 or 3 a day, if I exercise its even more than that.

No one has mentioned it yet, so I will -- with slogans such as "water is good for you" and "drink 4 liters a day and more!", you might be tempted to drink as much as you can... don't. Too much water thins your blood and is bad for you. I would suggest drinking only when your body says that you need to.

I think you need more than 4l of water for it to be bad for you. Besides, I'm pretty sure it's better than the other things that you drink such as soda.

8 glasses a day is what I heard to be GOOD for you. There are days where I drink no water and mostly soda... and that's only 2 or 3 cups a day. When it is water, it's only about 2 or 3 cups also. The only way to get close to 8 is if I had those dispensers in my house.

you don't need to drink 2 litres a day have 2 litres of liquids.
unless you eat freeze dryed foods you get about 500 - 750ml through meals
