NEEDED- someone to travel back in time with me. Must be able to devote at least 6 months of your time. Must be highly motivated, good at thinking on your feet, foreign language proficiency, and/or a thorough knowledge of ancient history is a plus. Must provide your own weapons. This is safer than it sounds; I have done it 3 times already. This won?t work if you weigh more than 215 pounds, or if you have a pacemaker. You should be easily able to withstand 4 to 5 g?s of acceleration. Pay is negotiable; you will be well compensated with inflation adjusted money of the appropriate time period and region (or with tradable goods for barter economies). You must work out tax issues with the IRS after we return, in the past I have been able to find some good loopholes. After we are done you MUST return to within 3 minutes of our departure chrono-location, absolutely NO staying in the past after the mission (I cannot stress this enough).
NO JOKE - PLEASE ONLY CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THIS!

I dunno... but I just found that on there

Posting a job listing on CL costs money. I guess that's their primary revenue source.

You'll only be gone 3 minutes from this time stream, so that's no problem.

I call shens! If you could travel back in time, you would be able to return at the exact moment you left. Thusly you wouldn't need 6 months off of work. Obviously this guy doesn't know a flux capacitor from a hole in the ground.

I think he means the person's time, not real time.

Here's how they make money...this is from a KROQ interview with the site owner: They only sell ads on the sf section and that basically pays for all the other sections.

Blackouts, not understanding revenue models -- sounds like it's time for you to cut back on the drinking.

They don't. The job listings pay for everything and then some, it's a well devised business.:)
