How the heck do you open a Game Cube?

That one GC thread reminded me that I've been meaning to ask this question. Here's what happened. My 3 year old cousin poured milk in her older sister's GC because she wanted to feed it. Needless to say, it doesn't work - I think the problem is that the mechanism isn't spinning. Her dad bought a new GC and gave the 3year old a little lecture that machines do not drink milk. He gave me the GC to try to find a way to open so he can try to repair it, but I can't find anything to open it with. Any suggestions?

Other than trying a bit of overhauling on optical and mechanical parts, there's nothing you can do. They don't repair those surface mount chip circuit boards. If there is something wrong with the electronics, they usually write it off as irrepariable or send you a new one for eye popping price. I've tools for opening Super Nintendo and their cartridges that I got in Japan. They're very expensive and if you aren't absolutely certain you can fix it the cost of tool isn't justified. Mine was something like $25 a piece. Back then I did a bit of over clocking and modding so it was worth it.
