How tel tell how long a UPS should last...

I'm looking for a small UPS system that I can use with my cable modem, router, and VoIP Box. I can go look at their power converter things to see how much electricity they use but then how can I comapre that to a UPS power output rating to see how long it would last during a power outage.

I know this assumes that the cable company doesn't lose power so let's go with that assumption. I'm just loking for the equation or math needed to figure it out.

And if ou know of a good deal on a UPS that will suit my needs, let me know. 🙂

THanks,

look for current draw, if you can't find that then just find the wattage rating and divide by 110.

divide the amp-hour rating on ups systems by the total current draw and you'll have the approximate time.

Here's the info on the power adapters.

VoIP - Output: 5v --- 2.6A
--Input: 100v - .4A

Cable Modem - Output: 10v --- 1200mA
--Input: 120v - .3A

Router - Output: 5v --- 1A
--Input: 100v - 1A
