So I'm on my way home and some (presumably punk teenager, with friends in car) gets itchy at the fact that yes, everyone is in fact doing the speed limit. so what does this genius do?

he moves into the opposing lane - nevermind that it's a double yellow line
he tries to pass probably 10-15 car-lengths
he is passing on a curve, of all places.

i seriously thought there'd be an accident, and almost wished their had been just to teach this jack@ss a lesson. i was absolutely WAITING for a car to come in the opposing lane and for this driver to $hit their pants.


(un?)luckily, no one was hurt. but g0dd@mn, there are stupid people out there :|

ModerateRepZero's post wasn't about blindly obeying the law, it was about people being stupid. Open your eyes and get rid of your prejudice against the law. It doesn't help anything and is an unrealistic view

I think that the coolest thing to ever happen here would be, the creation of a thread that involved drugs but did not end in a stupid drug debate. Let's just face it people, there are those that oppose drugs for whatever reason, be it personal decision, family, government. While I can't truly agree on the government legislating personal feelings, some people do, and that is just fine. I do not judge anyone by how blindly they follow the government, it is just not for me.

Edit: For ModerateRepZero, it is not illegal to be smoke marijuana, barring the fairly recent change to DWI laws, and it is merely a tax infraction to possess it.

I don't know what you first response is about.

I don't have prejudices against the law. I do know that most laws get through due to uninvolvement of those affected. It's easy to get many laws 'passed', but hard to undo them.

Alot of the laws we have are really not for anyone's well-being, but to tickle the fancy of those that would like to take certain things they do not like away.

Blue laws are a great example. The sexual laws I mentioned as well...it's still illegal in many places to have non-missionary sex or it outside marriage.

I have a very realistic view of what really happens around us, laws or not. Many like perhaps yourself; have no idea the differences and how common they are of many people.

Does it vary by Province? I live closer to Quebec (Vermont) and wonder if I'd find any there?

There's a pot cafe as well, just south of Wellesley and Younge. Nice patio, private rooms and excellent food 🙂

What debate about drugs? All anyone has said is that it's not safe to drive after smoking pot, and that the OP was about being stupid - smoking on camera.
