How soon can a price drop be realistically expected for the Radeon 9700 pro?

Would I be foolish to buy now or wait until November-December? How many $$, if I wait a month or two, can the 9700 Pro be expected to drop? New Egg has one for $327.00 now. Now I know the price will drop within the next month, but do you believe it will be substantial?

So if a guess was to be made, date-wise, are we not looking at price drops until Late December Early January 2003?

late december early january is optimistic i think, rumor has it that hte nv30 has taped out but thats still just rumor and from tape out to the shelf takes a good deal of time even if no major problems arise. presonaly i think it would be foolish to wait, thats why i got mine now, but then again its all speculation. one thing is for sure though, i think the card is worth every penny i played for it.
