In most I'm an idiot to average, but in perhaps 1 I'd measure very high.

Nearly anyone asked with think they are smarter than everyone else. Part of being stupid is you don't know you're stupid.

Last time I had a professional IQ test was 8 years ago. It took nearly two hours if I remember correctly, and it had a lot a repeat/reworded questions to try to catch you guessing. I scored 126 on that, which put me in the top 13 percentile at the time.

I was proud of this, until I used that intelligence to figure out that 87% of the people I speak with from that point on will be dumber than I am....and boy can I tell

According to an IQ distribution I checked, top 1%. That being said, I don't believe IQ is the be-all and end-all of measuring "smart". It might be good at measuring "smart" in the realm of test-taking, but there are plenty of other skills not reflected on such a test.

As stated above, there are many ways to measure intelligence. In answering this poll, I used the scores I've received on the various tests I've taken in my life (IQ, SAT, GRE). I usually rank around 90% (i.e. I do better than 90% of those who take the test). Thus, I answered top 10%.

I think I've lived to my full potential thus far in life (e.g. doing well in school, gaining admission into a great high school and a top 20 college). I fear I may be beginning to slip in my career search and planning, though. We'll see.

I tested at ~130 IQ in 2nd grade. Haven't taken a professional IQ test since then, but I've always done well (90+ percentile) on "Standardized" tests. I don't think I'll ever reach my full potential because I don't have the social skills to get in a position where I can have a real impact (or I'm too lazy to work hard and get a PhD )

depends on how you want to measure it. I'm terribad at straight up memorization and regurgitation of facts, but I'm top notch when it comes to grasping and applying abstract concepts/theories. as a result, my grades were pretty poor-to-mediocre all through grammar/high-school and amazing in college.

playing to my strengths, I'd like to think that I'm in the top 10%... last IQ test I took pegged me at 147?

i would say top 2% , but that doesnt mean i am anywhere near close to the top .5%, just means i am smarter than most people. just based on standardized testing, class ranking, and the interactions i have with pretty much everyone.
