There are some really dumb people here. ATOT's greatest asset for me has been the exposure to conservative, midwesterners and southerners and to see how people outside NY/NJ think about politics and the war. It's really quite frightening, actually, to hear from actual Bush supporters and the "let's nuke 'em all" crowd.

Right, because it's smarter for us to just sell our nuke technology to other countries *cough*clinton*cough*. We're safer under Bush now than we would have been under Gore.
The "nuke em all" crowd is frightening, but I don't think Bush supporters are anymore inherently ignorant of the world than coffee drinking left wingers in 4th year sociology class with some freaked out opinion of the world :D

In most cases democrats and republicans are equally ignorant of the world :)

There are 2 sides to this.

1. JRun error
2. The democrat and republican voters are quite ignorant of what is really going on in the world. As biased as they are, even the media is quite ignorant of what's going on.
3. The democrat and republican politicans are quite ignorant what is really going on at home. Whether or not they try, they can't connect to us at our level and understand what we really need or want. Campaign finance reform has made this worse now since the only politicians that can run (and win) are those that already have a heck of a lot of their own money.

Well, it follows the bell-curve fairly closely if you take all the results and step them down a level. That is, if so many people believe that they are "above average," then they msut be merely average--b/c average would thereby be redefined around their intelligence level.

As far as IQ goes, I should hope that I'm up there. Though, I'm also led to believe that the previous would indicate my lack of common sense...but uhm, let's not go there.

I'm the least smart person here. Of course that means any time I'm right then it makes you feel pretty stupid. Go me!

Technically, pretty dumb compared to some here. General everyday life stuff, I'm Einstein compared to some people I see here. "A girl just looked at me...do you think she likes me?" Then add on all the questions that could be found in the first link that google gives you.

I'm probably about average. The main difference I see here is the huge gap in wisdom, not intelligence. And many people confuse the two.

Most of the people here have above average intelligence, but lack common sense and wisdom.

It doesn't matter how smart you are if you can't apply it properly.

Wise enough to realize I'm not the smartest. I do like how everyone is above average... makes me wonder what that does to the "average" :)

If ATOT was a foot race, I would be sipping a beer at the finish line while everyone else was still getting out of the blocks. :D

Of course, I'd be at the finish line first, passing you that nice cold  HappyPuppy :D

Yes it is nice they give the special ed kids jobs supporting the race.

ROFL! Fredtam's sarcasm is genius, does that count?

HA! Asking people to rate themselves like this always shows that the average male is a top driver, lover, and rocket scientist. :D

What's more frightening is your hasty generalization.

Nothing hasty about it. Time and time again, I see this. And while I do agree with part of the counterarguments I see here, and clear see that the "nuke em all" attitude is more prevalent with people on this board than in the real life I lead. And its usually from the same folks here who also post threads about their new guns for huntin' season too.

I voted for 'top of the head genius'. But to be honest I love to click on things and got excited when I saw so many options.
