How slow of a news day can it be?

So I sign onto AIM to talk to a friend, and I get the whole AOL Zone popup (now disabled) and this is their headlining news story. Wow, Obama mixes up a name, as if my parents haven't called me my brother's or nephew's name before on accident, yet this makes news. I can't say I'm a major Obama lover, but this is just weak. I think a cat in a tree somewhere in the north Georgia hills would be more interesting than this. I was just watching season one of Squidbillies again, hence the north Georgia hills reference :) Really though, how far can "journalism" really sink in this country?

Anybody have a more useless/pointless major website news story link to post?

Someone should keep track for the next 3 or 7 years,a nd see how he stacks up to Bush before he is done. He has that hit the head on the marine 1 moment, this, I am not certain what else. Bush had scads of them, strategery, there is a saying in Texas, nucular, heck of a job, etc.

He has a big lead, will be hard to beat, but Obama could make up ground fast, given that job will whup anyone's ass.

To be fair, Bush didn't originally say "strategery;" that was a sketch on SNL with Will Ferrell as Bush. Bush repeated the line later on, but in a way that referenced the sketch. And if you think I'm splitting hairs, it's because strategery is a fairly badass word and I'd hate to give Bush undue credit for it.

Though he did give us "Hispanical."

And you've helped spread the worthlessness of this story by creating a thread about it?
