Kerry has to have some sort of plan as well...I'm not sure what it is, but he wants to hit that too so it doesn't look like he's just making noise with no solution of his own.
What is with you people saying the economy is bad? Maybe you should go elsewhere in the world where unemployment is 2x what it is here and people really can't get any jobs. Where food is scarce, and you don't know if you'll be living in a mud hut next year. Why don't you go there and then tell me how bad it is here. The economy here is doing better than it was in the 70's and 80's. :|

Are you saying that people shouldn't complain when their government does a bad job managing their affairs? That sounds downright un-american.

And maybe they should complain when they look at countries such as Canada, who avoided recession. Or Sweden, where over 2/3rds of their population has a higher standard of living then the comparable 2/3 in the US. Maybe people look at these countries and ask: "We're the richest and strongest country in the world, why do these crappy petty countries have this kind of success?" Maybe they should move. Or maybe they should try to improve things where they are. And maybe one way they can do this is by removing the current President.

Bush did not make all of the rules, and the rules were agreed to by both debaters. Lehrer can say what he wants, but we have no guarantee that he is telling the truth. Certainly you agree that if either candidate knew the questions beforehand, he would be cheating?
Cheating is cheating. But what evidence do you have that suggested Kerry had cheated?

Like I said before, he violated debate rules. The evidence for that seems pretty clear from the videos. So, technically, he was cheating, though it is likely something so minor that he wouldn't bother doing so.

He pulled out his pen. Who cares? Is this what the right has to debunk Kerry's performance? That's sad.

Apparently Matt Drudge does.

And now, from LordTyranus, not only the accusation that Kerry could have somehow cheated, but that Lehrer was in on it, too... Can't come right out and say it, though, gotta ease into it, run it up the flagpole, see who salutes...
Why does everything have to be a conspiracy with you libs? It's almost as if this is the X files.

Did he cheat? Technically. Do I care? Not really.

If Bush had pulled out a piece of paper like that, the Bush haters would be ranting on about it. I guess that is the difference between you and I.

The libs here have already accused Bush of wearing an earpiece,.. Can't come right out and say cheating, though, gotta ease into it, run it up the flagpole, see who salutes...

You guys are getting desperate, the talking points more bizarre, more obfuscatory as time goes on... Guess that's what happens when you are behind in the polls.

Bush got his ass handed to him, and the best you come up with to counter is that Kerry pulled out a pen? Poor Bush. He was totally thrown off, and could hardly compensate for that horrible act. Good thing he protects himself from bad news while in office so he can lead the country blindly, and not be upset about it.

Desperate? BWHAHA!! He pulled out a pen and Bushites have a cow. Who gives a rat's behind. If Bush had pulled out a pen, you think Kerry would have lost the debate? Dueling pens?

Damn, that's pretty poor.

Apparently you are not mature enough to handle a simple factual statement. It's not an excuse.

Why would I be desperate? Bush still seems to be leading in the polls, or at the very worst Kerry's lead is small. You don't count your team out after the first game.

Desperate is how I'd describe the Bush-haters even before he was sworn in office.

Ok, he took a pen out. Now I admitted a factual statement. Now you admit that Bush either screwed the pooch or lied about Iraq at the outset.

BTW, I voted for Bush the first time, but I at least have the sense to admit a mistake and correct it rather than foist it on America for four more years.

Why should you be desperate? I have no idea why you are, but if getting a pen out gets you posting, yet you have no interesting in sorting out what happened in the White House before the war, then your priorities are mighty screwed up.
