Currently I have the following:
-AMD 1090T 3.2ghz Hex Core
-Gigabyte GA770-UD3
-8gb of DDR2 OCZ Reaper HPC
-EVGA 560 non-TI 1gb
My motherboard is starting to die, got at least a single PCI slot known to be bad as well as a single SATA port.
My question is do I keep the 1090T and pick up a new AM3+ board and DDR3 or is it also worth picking up a I7-2500K or something of that sort?
If I stick with the 1090T any recommendations on motherboards?
More 1090T information:
-Antec Kuhler with 2x fans (push-pull)
-Will overclock to 3.7ghz at default 1.375v
-Will undervolt to 1.15v at default 3.2ghz
-Will post at 4.2ghz at 1.45v (can't get stable even up to 1.55v)
I'm not sure if my old 770 board is the reason I can't get 4.2ghz or if its just a chip failing.
