recipe for quitting with style

1 bowl

1 spoon

1 can of creamed corn

1 can of mushroom soup

empty contents of both cans into bowl, stir contents for 20 seconds. pour mixture on the keyboards of all the people you dislike the most.

optional: leave sticky note along with soup mixture that says: here's a little something to remember me by, have fun cleaning it up

If you have vacation time, take it. Tell them that a 'situation' has arisen that you cannot put off and must deal with it immediately. When your vacation time is up keep calling in sick, until you have no paid sick days left.

Eventually, they will get sick of paying you and you wont have to worry about how you are gonna quit!

:)

Xerox some pictures of your arse and wallpaper the boss' door with them. :D

Seriously, keep it professional and don't burn the bridges as suggested by others. You never know when you might need to call on your old company for a recommendation - no matter how bad they are.

Two weeks bereavement for your girlfriend?s mom? That really sounds like someone taking advantage of the system; I have to wonder what other stuff you've pulled. I bet you're one of those guys who justifies all your own poor behavior by his own misperceived mistreatment from others. I could be wrong but that?s what I perceive from the limited information your posts give.

Quitting my job was the most satisfying feel good decision I've ever made. It was like saying "to hell with prison and you prison guards, I'm outta here!" :)

Nothing more satisfying than quitting a job you dread day in day out.

I posted a big message on my white board: X days 'till no (my name here)!'

My PHB got the hint fairly quickly.
