How should I make a homemade bungee jump?

I am inspired by this Russian bungee jump video to make one of my own.
Do you have any tips on how I should make it and what materials I should use?
Should I try to make it look identical to the one in the video or should I have a different setup?

The biggest danger is the rope breaking. Wire rope will prevent that, and you'll get hundreds, if not thousands of jumps before it needs to be replaced.

Make sure to tie it around your neck. The other extremities (ankles, wrists, penis) are far too thin and will tear, but the neck has sufficient musculature and flexibility to maximize your bounce.

My climbing rope has caught me on some pretty good falls (I think a 40ft fall at the most, just today I took a 20ft whipper). There was a guy, named Dan Osmon, who used to use climbing ropes as a bungie jump type set up. I think it was called Rope Jumping? Anyway, he died.

Get about 5000 of these.....start connecting the individual bands into a chain. :sneaky:

You might consider buying another 5000 of them, and putting them in a pit, at the base of where you're jumping from. Might save your life! :hmm:
