How should I configure the parallel port on my PC?

My newly installed MSI K8N Neo v2.0 H mainboard's Phoenix Award BIOS has the port set as Normal, and as such it's the default setting. I'm going to be running my HP4M postscript printer on it and wonder how the port should be configured.

Eventually, I'll install a Jetdirect card in the printer and have it run off my wireless router so I can print from my other computers without having my main PC running. I have the card, it's just a ways down my priority list.

For a Printer set the port to ECP ... and be sure BiDirectional is enabled
as the printer must signal the software for things like when it is ready,
etc.

Thanks. I didn't see anything pertaining to bidirectional in the BIOS. I know the printer supports it.
