I like that watch a lot. It's a little more subdued b/c of the color than a watch with a polished case, which I think is rather tasteful with a suit.

that second link was for a digital, true sports watch.

I cannot see how this is Seiko is classified as a "sport" watch. It has a look suitable for recreational activity, but in no way would I wear such a watch in any kind of recreational or physical activity.
Especially since it has an analog face. About worthless for a sports watch.

But it has a nice subtle look that I think would still work just fine formally. But I'd prefer a lighter color metal, especially as soon as you lose a sport coat and have just shirt and tie on, then I think the black would seem a little off.
I'm personally a fan of subdued silver, shiny can be nice but would prefer a flat polish.

The face is nice though.
