News Story

The town has ~ 10,000 inhabitants and our previous murder was 10 years ago, so I'd say our murder rate is pretty damn low...

Toronto has had a homicide problem this year, but other than that, murders are pretty few and far between around here.

(my city and general area is pretty safe... until you cross the river ;) - even then, i personally have never felt unsafe in D-town)

I committed murder on 2 dozen ants in my bathroom last week. 2 more yesterday.

A quick search on sfgate reveals this -

The killing of Ronald Ryan, who was found early Saturday, brings the city's homicide total this year to 92, the most in a decade. In San Francisco.

My town has never had a murder in any time that me, my parents, or grandparents can ever remember...

Then again I live in Ontario, Canada in a town with 500 people... :)

The murders in our city are usually gang-related or retalitory. However, we have a horrible robbery and rape rate to make up for it.

a house break-in involving thievery is the scariest story in my hometown... I doubt there's been much murder over the years.

I don't know the murder rate. I do know one thing though, I have not been murdered.
