How?s the web browsing on the blackberry curve?

I was all hell bent on buying an iphone for a while. Now that I got my wife to agree to it, I?m having second thoughts. I?m thinking about buying the BB Curve with wifi from tmobile. How is the web browsing on the BB Curve? I have an ipod touch and really like the safari browser but I mainly use it to brose forums. How does the browser on the curve compare?

Not bad with OS 4.5, but get Opera Mini (free) and it's very good.

I owned the Blackberry curve for about two days before returning it last weekend. Browsing is not very good, IMHO. If you were set on buying the iPhone I recommend that you go with your initial instinct. I'd be all over that if my company had a corporate discount with AT&T.

have you tried the opera mini browser? i read its pretty good. my other reason for the curve with tmobile is UMA to call over wifi. i have no reception with any carrier inside my house.

I have a BB from work, and an iPhone for personal use. While the Opera browser is light years better than the BB browser it simply does not compare to Safari.

I had an Iphone and switched to the Curve. I like the Curve a lot better. We browsing is good on the Curve but not as good as the Iphone.

I think the biggest advantage the iphone has over a BB curve when it comes to web is the screen. Opera mini is not as good as safari, but it is good enough. However, the screen real estate is what makes the difference and something that is unchangeable.

Does Opera Mobile 9.5 beta work with BB's? That browser is the best.

thanks! thats all i really care about for the most part. i use my ipod touch to browse mostly forums because even on the ipod/iphone, the screen is really small to do anything else. i'll probably miss the safari browser after i sell off the ipod but at $-99.99 for a Curve it sounds like a sweet deal. the other kicker is the hotspot@home with tmobile because i have no reception at home with any cell carrier. i'd be paying close to $100/month for an iphone that i can't make calls with from home.
