How reliable are Amazon 3rd party sellers?

Only time I'd ever buy from an Amazon 3rd party seller if the price difference is huge. You have to pay for shipping+tax and they usually take forever to ship as well.

most of my purchases were from amazon 3rd party
no real issues with any of the companies, one product was defective and needed rma but i dont think that was their fault

I haven't had any issues, but I prefer to only shop 1st party or at least Fulfilled by Amazon - make use of that Prime membership.

Amazon will slap them silly and take back your money for you if they try anything shady.

I've bought 10-15 items from 3rd party sellers, mostly out-of-print items and import music CDs, and have only had one book where the condition wasn't quite as good as described (but not off enough to complain).

Most of the time shipping takes forever. But Amazon is actually having problems with the seller, they will just remove them from the site and get your money back.

Only ever gotten 1 item from a 3td party. I thought it didn't come the first time around, contacted the seller and got it shipped again. The day after I e-mailed them, it arrived, and 2 weeks later I had 2. They were just $5 posters, so I wasn' going to return it; gave one away as a birthday gift. It probably came late cause it got "lost" during the Christmas rush in early December.

I've had one bad experience. Bogus emails from the seller over the course of 10 days telling me the item had shipped. I called them out on it and they then offered to ship the item that day expedited at reduced rates. A bold-faced liar in other words.

I asked for a refund and promptly got it though. Had a great price on the item too.

Only bad experience out of a number of third party purchases.

never had a problem myself... I buy a lot of used books when I can get them for like $4 after shipping versus $12+ for a new copy from amazon.

No problems here. Shipping is rather slow. Most give USPS tracking numbers. I usually use 3rd party for used books or music since I am cheap.

Have bought a handful of items from Amazon 3rd party sellers without any problems. They may take a day or two extra before I get, but well worth it in my experience

I bought a few difficult to find books from them and haven't had a problem. They are not Amazon so shipping/fees can be different.

I had good experinces, last thing I ordered was a Plantronics PC headset, was open box but never used. Paid $15 ship, new price would have been $59, got it the same week I ordered so I like 3rd party 🙂
