My grandfather used the terms beloved patriot and beloved patriot earlier this evening... and then claimed one was less derogatory than the other after my mother called him out on it. :p

He should have told her they refer to different groups of people...:p

I've been accused of being racist here...when in reality, I'm not biggoted...I hate you all equally.

The reservation Indians in my family are probably the most racist people I've ever known, followed by my grandkid's dad's family. They're Black...and are terribly prejudiced.

Times may change but, the song remains the same. I grew up in Minneapolis a long time ago when there were almost no black folks, no asian and, certainly, no mexicans. Guess what? All the adults were prejudiced against anyone who was from a different background or country. Everyone was white and everyone was prejudiced. All the kids played together but our parents didn't talk to each other.

Not at all. Very open minded for being conservative southern peoples. Granted, we hate ghetto fabulousness and all that mess, but appreciate diversity.

Overall, very little. My dad says some racist shit, but just to be funny and really he places no meaning in it. The only one that's really racist is one cousin, but he's the most racist mother fucker you've ever seen. Against everything not him or his family too. He's an infantryman in iraq right now, he joined because he "wants a chance to kill one of those sandniggers"

I don't think there's any "racism" in my family that I can tell. Now, my grandmother doesn't like it when people who live in the USA don't learn to speak English, but she doesn't care about the race of the person.

My wife is Chinese and I am Caucasian. My family has been fine with the mix and love her like a daughter.

My FiL on the other hand had a very hard time accepting me as his son-in-law, and would probably still like it better if I was Chinese (not just Asian, but Chinese). He is very racist and complains about Indians, Blacks and claims he is still fighting WWII against the Japanese (won’t even consider buying a Japanese car).

My family is retarded. My mother's an "I'm not racist, but... <insert insanely racist comment>" person. My aunt tries to hide it even less and is particularly loathful toward immigrants, ignoring the fact her father was one. Speaking of her father, he was an outspoken racist himself. To hear him tell it, the blacks, whites, jews and hispanics all held hands and sang Kumbayah while oppressing the Italian man.

My entire family tree is racist so I'm also the same way. We don't mind white people though for some reason.

I always love it when people say they are mixed so they can't be racist, they have a friend who's black or mexican so they can't be racist, or they have a family member who's black or mexican so they can't be racist. It's so stupid.

I'm black and hispanic, and I hate black and hispanic people equally.

My mom isn't at all, my dad is while pretending not to be. He doesn't really have a problem with people of other races when interacting with them, but he does blame the ills of society on some groups of people (ghetto black dudes, muslims, illegals).

Muslim isnt a race and neither is illegal alien.

We seriously need to improve education in this country, starting with a pocket dictionary for every student.

Indeed, I hate it when I get called a racist for my anti-islamism. We can't choose our ethnicity and it doesn't affect our behavior. We can choose our religion and it does affect our behavior. Beyond that, only a fifth of the world's muslims are Arabs, it has a large following among every ethnicity.

Just throw out comments that you know they will take off on. More often than not, they end up proving their idiocy.

I do this a lot at work too. If I get a racist on the phone...I'm going to mess with them. If the first thing that someone says is, "thank God I got someone that speaks English", I am going to have fun.

Saying "thank god someone that speaks English" isnt racist, some people just have a hell of a hard time understanding thick accents and when you need customer service, its annoying to try to decipher what the person is saying.

Racist? No.
Classist? Kinda. If you can't be bothered to learn to read and write properly, then I haven't got much sympathy for you. The same thing applies to bad parenting and the acceptance of self-destructive pop culture.

That said, I feel there's a difference between hating on someone because they have a high melatonin concentration in their skin and hating on someone because they were too stupid to finish high school and then proceeded to get knocked up. (And if you think the second category is primarily ethnic minorities, you've never been down south. @#$@$ stupid hicks.)
